  1. What Clivio Law Will NEVER Do

To protect yourself against impostors claiming to represent Clivio Law, please note that our firm and legal representatives will NEVER:

    • Sell Employment or LMIAs: Clivio Law is a law firm, not a job placement agency or employer network. We do not sell job offers, Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIAs), or guarantee visa approvals.
    • Request Unapproved Payment Methods: We will never ask you to transfer funds via cryptocurrency (e.g., Bitcoin), gift cards, peer-to-peer apps (e.g., Venmo, Zelle), or cash delivery services. All official fee payments are processed securely in accordance with Law Society of Ontario trust accounting rules.
    • Use Generic Email Services: Our lawyers and staff will never communicate with you regarding legal matters using @gmail.com, @yahoo.com, @hotmail.com, or unverified WhatsApp accounts.
    • Demand Immediate Money via Phone under Threat: We will never call demanding urgent wire payments to avoid immediate arrest, deportation, or legal action.
  1. How to Verify Communications & Report Suspicious Activity

If you receive an email, text message, phone call, or message on social media from someone claiming to represent Clivio Law that seems suspicious or asks for urgent money transfers:

    1. Do not click links or make payments.
    2. Verify our credentials: You can verify that our practicing lawyers are in good standing by searching the public directory of the Law Society of Ontario (LSO).
    3. Contact us directly: Before taking action, independently contact our Toronto office at (416) 477-2538 or email us at info@cliviolaw.com to verify whether the communication is authentic.
    4. Report fraud: If you have been targeted by an immigration scammer in Canada, report the incident to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (CAFC) at 1-888-495-8501 or via their online reporting portal.

Clivio Law actively monitors and reports unauthorized websites, fake social media profiles, and fraudulent communications that misuse our firm’s name, logo, or lawyer credentials. However, Clivio Law is not responsible or liable for any financial loss, data breach, or damages resulting from fraudulent third-party scams or unauthorized interactions with non-official websites or individuals.
